RC stands for Racing Concept. This series was developed to meet the demands of the Scott World Tour team. The surprisingly light and stiff frame makes this bike the first choice for every climber. The Addict RC features Scott’s proven racing geometry. This enables the rider to achieve optimum power transmission and comfort in the saddle.

Technologies of the Scott Addict RC

Lightweight and Stiffness

By clever layering and reinforcement in certain areas, Scott has achieved increased stiffness on the bottom bracket and headset without compromising on seat stays. In addition, a complete hollow tube construction, a minimum of connection points, and the absence of alloyed components at the drop-out and brake attachment contribute to the remarkably low weight of the frame.

Comfort Zone

Like the Foil, the Addict RC has a low seat stay attachment, which maintains comfort even when it gets a little rough. This has no Effects on the efficiency of pedaling or the stiffness of the bottom bracket.

Geometry

The Addict RC has a racing geometry that meets the needs of both professional riders and sporty customers who prefer a more aggressive driving posture and very direct handling.

Fully Integrated Cable Routing

The Addict RC has completely integrated cable routing for both mechanical and electronic shifting. This was achieved by Scott’s engineers without any compromise on shifting and braking quality, as well as on the stiffness of the head tube. Furthermore, it is surprisingly easy to change cables and maintain the bike.

Lightweight Seat Clamp

The ultra-lightweight seat clamp weights just 12 grams and allows for a very carbon friendly clamp mechanism. This allowed Scott to save even more weight on the seatpost.

Aero Tube Shapes

Scott’s patented airfoil design got applied to its main tubes with the goal to optimizing the airflow and reduce the overall drag.
